When you make ice cream with other machines, you have to freeze the barrel for 24 hours ahead of time. Then, once you blend the ice cream, it often has to go back into the freezer to harden. On the other hand, when you make ice cream with Zippy Freeze, the machine will completely freeze the ice cream. So, you can dispense the ice cream and start enjoying it right away.

In addition, other machines will make about 1 quart of ice cream. After which, if you want to make more, you will need to prepare the barrel again (another 24 hours). When you make ice cream with Zippy Freeze, you can make 1½ quarts of ice cream every 10-15 minutes.
